Hey,

I’m here to talk about what has happened with my game Ele-Copter. I first wanted to make a game in a weekend for facebook, those simple helicopter games, but then Chris and I went to make a more complicated flash game for sponsorship.

So, after we made the game, we submitted it to FGL. We waited a looooong time, emailed tons of people… and got 1 answer. From Bored.com. They were interested in sponsoring our game. For $900.

We were more than happy. I implemented their complex api, I got in touch with them with skype, and took a bunch of days to get it ready. Then, I sent it to them, and they asked the payment method we wanted. I gave them all the payment details, and they seemed to be interested in paying, and worried because we were not receiving the money.

FAKE.

It’s been more than a month and we still have not received anything. Not even FGL, which was through paypal (which is instant). Shame, Bored.com. It’s a shame. They even pretended they were interested. Now, they don’t answer back. They simply ignore us. That’s terrible.

They even didn’t tell us when the game was uploaded. I explicity asked them to notify us as soon as its uploaded. I discovered it through google and it had been published 6 days already.

Even more terrible, FGL itself is ignoring us. We contacted them about the issue, they contacted us back asking some questions, we replied… and done? We even sent another email asking if there was any problems, why weren’t they answering. NOTHING. No answer.

So here’s the situation: Bored.com has stolen our game, and not even FGL will help us. But, I won’t stop doing WHATEVER I can to get the money back. Or to make them remove the game from anywhere it’s been uploaded. ANYWHERE.

Please, help me by sharing this post everywhere. Please!

Hello World

Hi there!

This is another attempt of making a blog, hopefully the successful one! This time, the design does not constrain me to make long posts, so I will be able to type short but important things, and I won’t have to force myself on writing long things (and thus, writing less and less because I’m a lazy bitch)

So what will I talk about here? Well… random thoughts I have and what happens in my game dev life, this is like a general blog of random shit + a devblog of any of my projects.

And for those of you who don’t know me… first, follow me on Twitter (@Abel_Toy), hopefully you’ll know how I am a bit better by reading some of my tweets. So basically I am a young INDIE game programmer. I mainly code games in Flash (Actionscript 3) [usually using FlashPunk <3] but I am able to code in other languages if the situation requires it.

I have done some games with Chris Thodesen, I produce a lot of shit for game jams and I’m working on a REALLY, REALLY serious and ambitious project with a development group (the first project, but hopefully not the LAST one! :D). If you want to see some of the games I have done, take a look at the Games section above.

Basically that’s it, I suppose you’ll get to know me better as you talk with me. If you want to get in touch with me, you can use the Contact link above, you can follow me and talk with me on Twitter (@Abel_Toy), or add me on Skype (Rolpege), and I also frequent the #flashpunkers IRC channel on afternet.

That’s all, I hope you like my blog…

Me Gusta
